Celebrating Aged Care Heroes

As we start to reflect on the year, Pulse Staffing Australia encourages all of us to recognise those who care for older Australians and say “thanks for caring”.

We’re asking the community to take a moment and think about the quiet achievers and the superheroes who provide aged care with professionalism, compassion and dedication for our elderly loved ones and give them the recognition they deserve.

It’s been a particularly challenging 24 months for aged care workers both in residential and home care settings, as they were on the ‘front line’ during the pandemic and their own health and wellbeing at risk in order to care for others.

Working for an agency requires an additional degree of flexibility and understanding, as well as a huge amount of skill, as relationships need to be fostered quickly not only with staff but with the residents in their care.

We seek out these qualities and attributes when recruiting ‘Best in Class’ talent to represent our business.  Our flexible talent pool is an integral part of the aged care workforce across Australia and ‘Aged Care Employee Day’ provides a focal point to recognise their amazing contribution.

At Pulse Staffing we support many providers with their talent strategies providing these outstanding employees for both planned and unplanned requirements. We are able to offer innovative programs that focus on an integrated approach to workforce management, Care Minutes achievement and reporting across total talent pool (FTE, casual & longer term contract workers).

As the aged care profession wraps its arms around the new AN-ACC funding instrument our experience tells us that the contingent workforce is regularly omitted from a provider’s analysis. This is an oversight we can help remedy through our collaboration with The Mirus Group, and we’d be delighted to discuss it with your organisation.

Finally, and most importantly, we ask you to take time to think of the nurses, and personal care workers employed by Pulse Staffing, and all our peers when you next visit a loved one in aged care and say “thanks for caring”.

Our Pulse family prioritises the significance of a positive work environment for our candidates. If you or someone you know is looking for support or considering a rewarding career in aged care nursing that looks out for your best interests, don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated team for guidance and assistance.
