Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for sexual health? This is a unique opportunity to lead sexual health services in a busy remote clinic, providing essential care and education to the local community.
The Role
As the Sexual Health Nurse, you will be the go-to clinician for STI screening, treatment, and health education, working alongside a GP and multidisciplinary team in a well-supported environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Sexual health assessments, STI testing, and treatment
- Health promotion & patient education-delivering information on safe practices, STI prevention, and reproductive health
- Leading group education sessions-supporting men's, women's, and mums & bubs groups
- Assisting with general clinical duties as required in a fast-paced primary healthcare setting
This role is primarily clinic-based, with occasional involvement in community health promotion activities.
Requirements for this role
- Registered Nurse (RN) with full AHPRA registration
- Experience in sexual health nursing, primary healthcare, or community health
- Strong knowledge of STI prevention, testing, and treatment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
