We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Aboriginal Health Practice Nurse for a contract in Broken Hill, NSW. The contract available is from the 2nd of January - 28th of March. These role involve delivering professional, evidence-based healthcare to children and the community, with a special emphasis on Aboriginal health.
Key Details:
- Travel and accommodation supplied. Accommodation is a shared house with another nurse. Own room and bathroom but shared and living and cooking area
Practice vehicle provided work day-to-day and weekend use
Hourly rate of $74.23 per hour
Work only Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with no shift work, on-call, or weekend duties.
Supported by other Nurses, General Practitioners, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Visiting Medical Specialists, and Administrative staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver primary healthcare services to Aboriginal patients, focusing on prevention, treatment, and health education.
- Support chronic disease management, maternal and child health, and immunization programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Experience in Aboriginal health and/or rural and remote healthcare.
- Strong cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
