6-12 week Aboriginal Health Practitioner contract available in Rural Western Australia.

About the Role:

As an Aboriginal Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering culturally safe, holistic, and effective health care services to Aboriginal individuals and communities in the Carnarvon region. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide primary health care, health education, and health promotion services, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the local Aboriginal population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver culturally appropriate health care services to Aboriginal individuals and communities
  • Conduct health assessments, screenings, and referrals as required
  • Provide education and support in areas such as chronic disease management, mental health, sexual health, and maternal and child health
  • Assist with the coordination of health services and ensure clients receive timely care
  • Maintain accurate health records and contribute to ongoing service improvement

Requirements:

  • APHRA registration
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage
  • Qualification as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner (AHP)
  • Current immunisation endorsement or willing to obtain
  • Current WWCC and CPR

Benefits:

  • Excellent payrates offered. Ranging between $55.00 - $65.00p.h depending on shift and experience
